Everyone asks how I got started writing about cars, and the short answer is that I applied for a job on Craigslist (tip: write a great cover letter) as a staff writer for a dealer marketing company. From there I landed a great contract with CNET covering bleeding edge car tech. Family life brought a lot of changes, and chasing news was a lot harder when you’re supposed to be changing diapers, so I took a step back from daily blogging and switched to digital marketing and the occasional freelance article.
At present I’m wading back into the freelance community and am contributing to Jeanknowscars.com. Everything else that can’t find a home gets published here.
